We believe in a multidisciplinary approach to the solution of business issues. We know that most business problems or opportunities call
for a variety of skills: legal, fiscal, financial, and organizational. We do not treat our clients’ problems or issues with a single lens. We
draw on the first-hand experience of our partners and consultants to imagine several scenarios to solve a given business issue. We
demand from our partners a rigorous analysis of options and alternatives for our clients. We see litigation as a last resort tool, and we
use it when other avenues have been exhausted.
We try to economize both, time and effort, in addressing our clients’ needs. We know that our clients’ most valuable commodity is their
own time. Consequently, we put a premium on time-reducing solutions. Time is of the essence, for our clients, and for us.
We make a virtue of constantly comparing the cost and benefit of each business decision. We do not adopt dogmatic positions.
We do not impose our views and preferences on our clients, but we do let them know timely and unequivocally where we stand vis-à-vis
their issues.
We review constantly the risks involved in the pursuit of a legal or strategic decision. We provide our clients with our best risk
assessment, but we let them take the final decisions. It is their money after all.
We choose whom we want to work for and with. We are careful and demanding in the selection and acceptance of clients. Before
we accept a consulting or legal assignment, we analyze the prospect client and its business record. We also review the business case at
hand, and analyze its viability, its origin, its development, and its perspectives. Knowing how and when to say no is part of our business
practices. We ensure that we do not have a conflict of interest.
We focus on what we know, and on what we have done successfully in the recent past. If we do not know enough about a given business
situation, we either turn it down or recommend someone else.
