in legal matters, serving a wide array of clients. With the passage of time, the firm focused on serving
the financial sector and the Mexican securities industry.
In the 1990’s the firm began to work in association with external finance professionals, in a variety of
business transactions. Gradually, the firm developed a network of business associates and external
consultants who would team up with the firm on specific business deals.
Early in 2000, the firm played a significant role in the drafting and approval of Mexico’s new
bankruptcy law. Subsequently, the firm became well known for its leading role in some of the largest
bankruptcy cases in Mexico.
In the last years, new partners have brought to the firm their experience in banking, corporate
